This too shall pass

My husband and I are huge sci-fi fans, and particular Marvel fans. We read quite a bit, and play several video games. We like board games, card games, and are reminiscent of simpler times, though we enjoy the progress from Mario to Destiny.

The prevalent theme through nearly all of these stories that draw us in and tugs at our beings, is that of an ordinary person tested to extraordinary limits.

A person in impossible circumstances who views their disability as a weakness, but their view of themselves is incorrect (Daredevil is Blind, Hawkeye - in the original comics - is Deaf, and the list goes on!) as truly what they see as their weakness is the true foundation of their strength, power, and super'ness'.

My aim is to maintain a place where all of our current and future providers are able to keep up to date, ensuring Q continues to flourish. After the last few years of innumerable appointments (Doctors, Hospitals, in-home, specialists, and more) and the haze of stress just getting through the basics each day, I wanted to capture our progress as a family. Sometimes our progress is lost through our challenges, and vice versa.

Days are very long and the last year has been especially hard. Our focus is now on the joys, progress, and moments that are important.

The moments when we are superhuman and overcome limitations and don't allow our weakness to define our incomprehensible coping skills and strength.

Q has been our tornado of stardust and sunshine, and while everyone tells Jim and I how well we are doing...it's Q who is truly teaching us how to progress on this journey of his! He keeps us grounded, laughing, and teaches us about love every single day.
